IF IT HAS THE 4.0L ENGINE IS HAS A CRANKSHAFT SENSOR ON TOP WHERE THE TRANSMISSION MEETS THE ENGINE.NO SIGNAL FROM IT WILL CAUSE NO SPARK OR FUEL BECAUSE THE COMUTER DOES NOT KNOW WHERE #1 CYLINDER IS.SOMETIMES U CAN TAP ON THE SENSOR AND IT WILL WORK

96 jeep cheokee problems no spark

I would make sure you have voltage to the coil. Could be a fuse or relay problem. Is the check engine light on when you turn the key on ?

1993 jeep cherokee cranks but wont start

Look for a crack in the distributor cap or the coil where the cable comes out. you are losing the spark somewhere between these two.

No spark to the coil or the fuel pump. All fuses good. Check engine light does not come on.

Sounds like you need to have your ecu engine computer repaired. It's a common problem with that generation Jeeps. Try leaving the ignition key turned to the on position, for appx. 30 minutes, to see if the check engine light does finally come on, and if the Jeep will start then.

You need to replace the crankshaft sensor, it's mounted behind the engine at the top of the bell housing on the drivers side. It is a pain to do, but a very common problem.

1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo ... no spark and no fuel pressure

sounds like your crankshaft position sensor has failed it is located on the bellhousing and has a thick black lead off it with a three wire plug, also it should have 1 ten mm bolt holding it in place, this provides an impulse signal for spark and fuel injector pulse and the car wont run without it -jeff ps please rate and goodluck http://www.autopart.com/CrankSensor/CrankSensor1992JEEPCHEROKEE.htm this is also a suspect part but my money is on the crank sensor, this part is this camshaft sensor located in the distributer and will not kill the fuel in most cases just spark http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=301&partnum=C1929&a=FR301-C1929
