SOURCE: 2005 pacifica w/ HID headlamps driver side doesnt work

From LustyKid.

Check the connector wire for continuity on the low end side with a good OHM meter. You probably have a broken wire connection but can't see it due to insulation. See if you have voltage on the low end side of the plug. No voltage, no light. Probe the wire and find where the current stops. Also make sure you don't have the ground reverse on the plug to the headlight. Before replacing it of course. Or you can cut all the wires and replace with a new connector.

SOURCE: how do you replace the headlight bulb on a 2001 chrysler lhs.

This can be done buy popping the hood and removing the bulb from the rear of the headlight housing. don't screw with the housing because, its leveled for optimal sight range.

SOURCE: changing headlight 300m

lift the hood. the light are down behind the light assembly. simply turn large black ring and it will come out. be carefull not to touch the glass on the new one. oil from your skin will cause it to prematurely fail.

Headlight Issue on 1999 VW Golf GTI VR6. I just purchased this yesterday and noticed that the lights will not switch from High to Low beam. (High indicator doesn’t switch off) Installed a new Headlight...

Most total headlight failures are caused by a bad component like a fuse, relay, or module. Wiring problems can also cause both headlights to stop working. High beam headlights don't work or low beams don't work. If just one bulb fails to work in either high beam mode or low beam mode, it may be the bulb. Check your manual to find your headlamp relay.

One high beam not working 2006 Buick lacrosse

Sampson, sounds like a bunt out bulb, which will need changed.
If you feel comfortable doing it yourself. Basically three screws, and you have to pull one plastic fastener from the fascia (bumper) and pull the bumper back a bit, and pull the assembly out. I believe it is in the manual, not bad to do. I will post a link to tell or show you how to do it. Press the helpful button

I got no daytime running light Iwould like to know why

Make sure both high beam and low beam bulbs are working when you use the headlight switch. If ok it may be a daytime running light module failure or running lamp relay failure diagnostic time will be needed to isolate this problem and you may want to consider a reputable shop for this

High beam not come on

The switch is broken. You need to replace it. If your high beam do not work. both low beams work, so the bulbs are ok. if a fuse was blowed both high and low would be out. good-day ! if your sure the bulbs are ok, then its in the switch.

2001 grand caravan low beam light not working. i chang bulb already i check fuse already.

Hi Every single time I have had a failure of low beam in a headlight without failure of high beam, it has been because the lamp bulb or halogen lamp module has reached the end of its serviceable life, not because of any wiring problems. Low beam burns out first because it is on the most. If low beam is lost simultaneously in both headlights, I would check fuse first, then the headlight switch. If low beam is lost on one side only, it is almost always going to be due to the bulb or lamp module needing to be replaced. In that case, replace them in both headlights because the other one will be going kaput in short order, as well. Also if you already replaced the fuse and bulb check the headlight dimmer control switch.
Thanks for using Fixya.

1986 volvo headlights won't turn on

Most common problem is burned connectors at the relay that switches from high to low beams. I think that in '86, the relay was still inside the car above the driver's left foot. If not there, it is toward the front of the passenger compartment on the driver side, between the front inner fender and the battery. If it clicks when you move the dimmer switch, you can follow the click to find it. If the wires are good, the relay contacts may have failed.
On my '91, I lost the low beams because the headlight circuit in the bulb failure sensor had failed. The bulb failure sensor was an orange can-shaped device directly below the steering column under the dash. The headlight low beam wires were gray, as I recall. A new sensor was $150, so I cut the wires and bypassed it. I figured I could tell if I had a low beam burned out. I did not need a warning light for that. The bulb failure sensor still worked for the tail lights.

04 chev optra i have no daytime running lights and no low beam but the high beam works i have swaped fuses and new bulbs what else can it be

I have a similar problem with my 2005 Optra 5 - daytime running lights are hit/miss. About 3-4 years ago, the alarm started activating itself - FREQUENTLY. Turns out it was corroded wires. Now this. (Take heart - my Corolla had a similar problem - bad sockets - bulbs burned out faster than they could be replaced. Toyota never did admit responsibility.)
