It is difficult to explain in simple terms but I will try. Google rebanding. Some radios can have their firmware updated but I don't think your PRO 2066 can. Channel numbers and frequencies preprogrammed into your scanner have changed over the past few years. When a data signal says go to channel X that channel is now Y, but your scanner is still looking for X Hope this helps

See if you can find one on ebay where the owner has the manual. Perhaps you can contact owner and work something out regarding a manual copy.

See if somebody is selling one on google and find out if they have directions. Maybe you can work something out.

What is the resolution setting on your monitor? You might want to increase it if possible. You may have to upgrade your video codecs too.

Google found the manual for the 49-2559 emergency redialer on the Radio Shack support page here: http://support.radioshack.com/support_security/doc64/64643.pdf . The R indicates a refurbished unit so the manual should be the same one. When I used Radio Shack's manual page, http://support.radioshack.com/productinfo/ , I found the manual in the drop-down menus under Security and Home Automation > Security Accessories. Go online and see if there are any local ham radio clubs. See when they have a club meeting. Go there and see if a ham will help you program it. Most likely you can find at least one person who can/will help you out.

They have probably 'rebanded'- meaning that they moved the control channels. Go to radio reference dot com and see what the control channels are. IF they moved the 3 or 4 control channels and alternate control channels to the 700MHz range, then the PRO96 and PRO2096 probably cannot track it anymore and you will need a newer scanner from Uniden Bearcat or from Whistler. Check to see if the keypad is 'lockedout'. If there is a 'key' icon in the display, then the keypad is locked and you will have to hold down the 'lock' key until you hear a beep and the 'key' goes away. Then you should be able to operate all the pushbuttons again. Okay?

Hi, might I suggest you sign up for Radio Reference dot com and you will need to have a digital trunking scanner for almost everything in the 4-county area- looks like only 1 PD and 1 fire channel will still work on an old scanner. First suggestion: never recharge batteries inside of a $400 scanner. Always charge them in a separate battery charger. Second, you can find those battery holders on e Bay and you could even try QRZ.com as a source. Okay?

My suggestion is to go to radio reference dot com and sign up for a membership where you can get many answers.

Press 'scan' then press a number key to enable the group to scan.
