My philips tv won't store the tv channels. every time I switch the tv back on I have to perform a search to find the available channels and then store them but if I turn the tv off, I lose all the channels and have to search all over again when I put the tv on. I have checked and checked that I am going through the process of storing the channels correctly but to no avail. Any help out there, please?

SOURCE: dont seem to be able to install channells in

Auto installation should search for local tv stations, or add new channels, then it will search for new ones.

SOURCE: DVD playback color

When passing the video signal thru a VCR on the way to the TV, you are activating the DVD's "Macrovision" copy protection.  You need to hook it directly to the TV.

SOURCE: Philips HDRW 720/17 stuck in '':demo'' mode???

Okay. I found that there IS a manual release for the disc tray UNDERNEATH the unit. It is a sort of toggle lever that you have to slide to the other side and that releases the disc. The Manual does not even mention this manual release lever!

Also, it may be hidden or covered by a paper like cover.

SOURCE: My Philips 50pf9631d plasma tv turns on then red

Are you getting picture or sound at all? If not, you could have a very common power supply failure. If you get sound or picture, then you may have a faulty capacitor or resistor on one of the system boards

WHAT is this tv digital ?

Dear Friend,
First, search for available air channels by going to you menu and then search for channel setup.
Second: change the option from Cable to Air Channels.
Third: after performing the channels setup you should be able to see free channels trough the air.
Good Luck!

Lg tv losing stored channels when turned off

I purchased an LG43UN7100 just before Christmas 2020. It has used the same aerial connections (ports/cabling) previously used by both Samsung and Philips televisions, which worked perfectly. After twelve days of use, I've now retuned it 4 times and have even followed advice to disable the Quickstart Plus and reset back to initial settings. From an internet search I suspect that this is a common 'feature' of LG televisions :(

How can I get my Philips TS3259C1 to turn on with AV1 as the channel?

You have to enter its service mode option to make it. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu at the left top corner or the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 640 posts to different brand TVs.

Cant get cable tv

Hello
First connect the cable to its cable input socket at rear.
Turn the tV On and enter its Menu option window. Press UP or DN button on the remote control to select 'Cable'. Selecte EZ scan [channel search]. The TV must scan for all available channels, and will stop after all the channels has been stored in its memory. You have to wait till the search function stops; no other functions with remote cannot be done, and the set will not respond any external command, either by remote control or by its front panel control, except the mains power ON/OFF switch will work. OK.

Tv won't switch to "tv"

Your T.V. is programmed to store the last input you've selected. You have to manually switch it back to your T.V. channel input after each time you switch it to HDMI or any other input even when you turn it off. The "Source" or "Input" button on your original T.V. remote will change this.

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
