Re: Frigidaire Elextrolux gallery series. Hi: I'm not sure if my problem is the same as the others at the top, but yesterday my digital board on the back went off. No clock, no lights anywhere. There was a clicking / popping sound, which stopped but it is still out. The oven and burners work. Is it fixable, or am I wasting money getting a repair person in? The oven came with the house, so I don't have any info on it. thanks, Wendy

stoveboy,

I know you probably have the problem fixed by now, but I had the same problem with my frigidaire range just the other day. Loud popping sound, range/clock controls do not work. Stovetop still works great.

I took the back off the stove and got to the circuit board. Unplug the connector and the five spade connector wires. Once you do that, remove the 4 screws holding the entire assembly in place. The circuit board(s) are held in the housing with retaining clips on the housing. Use a small screwdriver or similar to pull back on each clip to pry each side of the board out. Once the board(s) are free, look in between the two circuit boards and you will see the problem. The larger, 20 amp relay is the culprit. It blew traces off of both boards making it almost impossible to repair. Without having a schematic to go by, I went ahead and decided to just replace w/ new boards as opposed to trying to solder the traces. I have not checked on prices, but brief web searches didn't return any results. The board part # is SF5301-S7509-N

SOURCE: Frigidaire Gallery Professional Series Oven Won't Turn On

Suspect a bad oven element. Worse case is a bad oven relay on the clock control board.

SOURCE: How do I raise the cooktop on my Frigidaire

If you raise up the top you will break the tubing going to the burners. You must remove the screws on each sealed burner before raising the top. Look closely and you will see the screws. They will be hard as heck to come out. If a stove is real old and I cannot get the screws out I dremmel the screw heads out and drill out the screws. I do a repair and then pop rivet the burners back on. If I have to go back in there it is nothing to drill out a pop rivet. That is how I do it on real old stoves. You may figure out a better way. You have to get those burners loose or you will break those lines below the top.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Gallery Range (New). When plugged

Hi,

When it doesn't heat up,
We have a Frigidaire Range model PLEF398CCC and, as many others here have mentioned, we saw the puff of smoke and the oven nor the front left burner works. The repairman has to replace a EOC on the back of the control panel and another one in the back on the bottom. The total cost for parts alone is $438 then add in the service call cost. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME we've had an EOC go bad for big bucks. The unit is about 5 years old. We're thinking of filling the landfill with it.

Use this for troublshooting:

another testimony to help,

Had the same problem. This solved it for me:

Take care.

Makes a ticking or clicking noise when dryer is on. How can I fix it? The heat and tumbler still works though.

Hi Lisa, thank you for your post!

Based on the above-listed model number, FEX831CS it shows you have a Frigidaire laundry center. However, you mentioned that it is a gallery series. So do you have a laundry center or a Frigidaire gallery dryer? In order to better address the issue, what is your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag, which lists your model number, on the right or left edge on the inside of the door. How often do you hear the ticking or clicking noise? With this information I can better assist you. Thank you!

Hi Robert Burch - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control panel. However, if the unit is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly as well. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

Where is the thermostat located on a frigidaire gallery model GLRS2642AQ6 Electrolux side by side. Keeps freezing up even after turning down both side to just cold.

Hi this is most likely the damper assembly not the thermostat, the damper assemly is on the left side of the refrigerator compartment in the very top corner up there, sometimes depending on the model this damper runs 3/4 of the length of the left wall there. This entire assembly needs changed.
