I understand you are seeking a manual and I'm assuming your
model number is GLEFM397DS, posted above. If so, I have located the Owner's Guide on the manufacturer website. Here you will be able to access step by step
instructions on how to operate the oven. I hope this information helps to some
degree. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to
reconnect!
Sounds like the either both bake and broiler element may be
faulty or a potential wiring failure to the elements. You may want to connect
with a local servicer who will be best equipped to pinpoint the problem. If you
don't know a qualified technician, you can use the service locator option on
the manufacturer site to find one near you.
If your oven still uses a pilot light, it also probably has a thermocouple positioned in the pilot's flame path to detect whether if is safe to turn on the main burner.
When the thermocouple fails, the oven thinks the pilot light is not lit and will not let gas flow to the primary burners.
The part isn't costly (should be <$20 US) but replacing it may require some expensive labor.
and enter the model number of your range/oven unit to find the user manual.
On my GE range I only have to press and hold the LOCK button for several seconds (until it beeps) to unlock it.
i have an old model of the fridgedare gallery professional series stove. After self cleaning, the ignition sparks for the burners will not come off, they keep clicking and only stops when i pull out the plug. can you help me with this situation?
This sounds like a burner control. You may be able to do the job yourself. If you order the part, it should plug in. Remember to turn off the power. Any online source should have the control.
THERE SHOULD BE A KNOB SELECTON ON THE MAIN TEMPERATURE CONTROL OR SOME HAVE A SWITCH. OR .I DO NOT KNOW WHERE IT IS ON FRIGIDARES ... AND PLEASE DONT HOLD IT AGAINST ME.
I WILL SAY THAT ALL SELF CLEANING STOVES DO IS TURN BOTH YOUR BROILER AND OVEN BURNER ON HI AND "BURNS OFF THE SPILLAGE OR DIRT" IN AN ALOTTED TIME.
AS A REPAIR MAN I NEVER ADVISE USING THEM ... THEY CAUSE ALOT OF HEAT AND DONT REALLY WORK ALL THAT WEEL IF THERE IS ANY SIGNIFICANT SPILLAGE TO CLEAN ANYWAY.
