My unit is throwing water out of the front vents not a lot. It sound like the fan blade is hitting water It still cools but makes a loud noise .R bordeaux

The water and noise you hear is from the fan blades hitting backed up water in the drip pan. This occurs when the drain hole near the rear of the drain pan is clogged and/or the rear of the unit does not have enough downward tilt. Which allows the water to flow freely to the drain hole. The general rule of thumb for downward tilt is 1/4" to 1/2". Correcting these to things should solve the problem. Be sure to turn the unit OFF & Unplug it, before attempting remedial service work on the unit.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

The water is not draining. I do not know where the drain plug is stopped up. Can u help?

The drain hole will be under the drip pan near the rear of the unit. It can be hard to find sometimes, as the clog will blend in with the drain hole. A pipe cleaner works well to clear the hole. In addition, check the rear downward tilt. The general rule of thumb for rear downward tilt s 1/4" to 1/2". This allows the water to flow toward the rear of the unit to the drain hole. Instead to the front and down your interior wall.

NOTE: Be sure to turn the AC Off and unplug it, before attempting any repairs.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

From what you have described, it sounds like the drip pan's drain hole, near the rear of the unit is clogged and/or there is not enough downward tilt on the rear of the unit. The general rule of thumb is 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt.

The drain hole can be a challenge to find, as the clog will blend in with the drain hole. Persistence and patience while looking for it will help. A pipe cleaner works well to clear the drain hole.

Be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it before attempting and maintenance.

Hope this helped you ans thanks for choosing FixYa.

It sounds like raindrops inside my window ac

when the humidity is high it condenses on the evaporator .. that water runs out of a drain if the unit is properly mounted . a little of the water is retained and is used to help cool the condenser coil ... thats the sound you hear .. water is being picked up by the fan and splashed over the condenser coil to help increase the efficiency of the unit ... if the unit is mounted such that its tilted in a little then you may get too much retained water ... the same if the drain is clogged .. but a little water splashing around is normal and a desirable thing to increase efficiency ... check the mounting angle and the outside condensate drain,,

NewAir AF-350 is blowing water out the front louvers. Unit is 2 days old.

water normally condenses in the evaporator .. this runs down to a pan that drains to the outside section of the air conditioner .. there it it used to help cool the condenser and overflow runs out a drain in the back ... your unit is not draining the water properly to the back section .. that is usually caused by the air conditioner being being mounted with its top tilted toward the inside ... it should be level or slightly tilted toward outside for proper drainage ... its also possible that paper or other debree has clogged the drains inside the unit from the front section going to the back section ..

Condensation buildup

Make sure the unit tilts towards the outside. If it's installed level or tilted toward front it will not drain properly.

Split unit. blows condensed air/water out early in the morning? I have check the gas pressure with is 150psi It is the only unit that has this problem and I have five of them throughout the house.

Check to make sure the unit is tilted enough to drain the water out the back. If the tilt is at least 3-5 degrees toward the outside make sure the water can drain from the cooling coil to the rear coil (plugged drain circuit?)

Amana AP095R Portable Air Conditioner is dripping water constantly. It didn't use to do this. What's wrong here?

all air conditioners condense water .. the water is normally drained to the outside thru a hole near the outside bottom of the unit .. the unit has to be mounted so that it doesnt tilt inward .. the drain hole has to be cleaned once in a while ... if its clogged or if the unit is tilted inward then the water will drain inside the house .. less likely but possible is a cracked or damaged drip pan inside the unit ... thats a shallow pan under the condenser (cold) coil that captures the water and directs it toward the outside drain .. so check the tilt and clean the drain

Drain hose

make sure the unit is tilted back a bit for the water to run towards the drain. if it's tilted forward, the water will pool in the front, which will cause an array of other problems.

Need installation info

tilt the unit toward the back so it will drain toward the back or you will have a mess on your hands, tilt it just about 1/2 in so the water runs toward the back and drains outside and very important to air filter clean
