How can I change the number of times the phone rings before the voice mail answers? Model # KX-TG4022

Trying to get the answer to turn off your BASE FEATURE...

KX-TGA500W appears to be a WIRELESS "remote"
handset that operates from your wired BASE...
A typical base will be KX-TG + (4 digits).

In ORDER to PULL an owners manual...
I am required to know the MODEL NUMBER of
your base station...

The ONE Panasonic PHONE that is connected with
a modular jack... (to the wall.. off to the central office
("CO")) and out to your friendly telephone network... via
telephone cables...

I need the BASE model number:
From thence I will be able to access your owners manual.

In the MEAN TIME:
I'd suggest that you PHONE HOME and let your phone
ring no less than 12 times... before you can say with CONVICTION... that you don't have VOICE MAIL.

It assumes a level of PHONE COMPANY
competence & skill... (I doubt).

Trust... but VERIFY.

The KX-T7433 isn't an answering machine. If the voicemails are going to an answering machine you have on the phone line, consult its manual. If the voicemails are going on to your telephone service provider's system, look for instructions in the phonebook, or contact the provider.

The KX-TG5621 isn't an answering machine. It will ring until you answer, some answering machine picks up, or the caller hangs up.

To change the ring count on your answering machine, refer to the documentation for that answering machine. If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and specify the make and model of your answering machine.

The number of rings is controlled by the answering machine or voicemail system on your phone line. It cannot be changed from the handset. Please refer to the documentation for whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have.

The Voice Mail feature is set by your phone company, not by the phone. Typically the phone company will set it for 20 seconds, or approximately 4 rings. This is called your voice mail "Ring Cycle"

Call them up (the customer service number should be on your phone bill) and they should be able to increase or decrease your ring cycle for you at no charge.

What you can do is go into the management console for your system and find the forwarding this is under extentions option 2 fwd/dnd select your extention number and on the bottom option FWD No Answer Time (s) set it to 10 or more and this will change the number of rings.

The KX-T7456 is a proprietary system phone. You have a Panasonic phone system and a voice mail, both separate items with their own part number. Your phone can work on several different systems and use different voice mail so your first step is to determine the part numbers from the system and voice mail. Then you will need a "programming" manual or possibly "administrator's manual" NOT a "user guide" for at least your voice mail and maybe for the system as well.

You are asking about changing you voice mail and phone system settings. Your phone can work on several different Panasonic phone systems and you could have different voice mail systems as well.

 

The phone KX-T7633 has only a user guide that covers the basic features of the phone itself. You need a programming and installation manual for your phone system AND your voice mail. They are not the same part and have different manuals.

 

So, your first step is to find out the model number of your phone system and voice mail system.
