I do not get radio reception but I can play CD's

Hi,

The radio reception will depend on your location, if you are driving on an area that has no reception then you will really not get anything, but yes you can always play your cd's since they do not require reception signals.

What do I enter for 464.2125? My Uniden BC95XLT only accepts six digits. So, the 5 is left off? Does this affect the operation?

Just forget about the last digit. Receive bandwidth is wide enough that your reception will be fine -- unless there's an active station on 464.2120.

I have a Uniden BC200XL. How can i get better reception?

The only realistic way to improve reception is with a better antenna. You can find a wide selection at sources such as eBay and ScannerWorld.com

I live in the country will my scanner pick up good for how many mile range

Sorry, but there is no formula that can guarantee reception. The VHF and UHF signals monitored by a scanner will normally travel more than 20 miles, but they are strictly "line-of-sight" transmissions. If there are large buildings or hills/mountains between you and the transmitter, or if you live in valley, the signals may not reach you, even with an outdoor antenna. Your best bet is to borrow a scanner from a friend and check reception before you make an investment that may or may not work for you.
