You should have received a disc with your camera, to install it with. If you no longer have it,
You can download the driver here. You need to select your operating system.

My sony cyber shot will not transfer the pics to my computer. I installed the program but it will not recognize my camera when i plug it into my computer...

A transfer program is not needed. Along with the program there should be a driver in the install disc. Make sure that you installed it properly. Go to the programs section in the control panel and clarify whether Sony camera driver is in the list.

Hope this helped.

Sony drx820 suddenly not recognized by computer

Does the tray open for you? Re-boot the computer and go into the BIOS and see if it is listed by the BIOS. Did you accidentally remove the hardware? Go into the control panel and add new hardware and see if it detects the drive and re-installs it. Otherwise the drive might have stopped working.

Downloaded driver for cybershot dsc s500, then try to interface camera with computer, pc doesnt see the camera in control panel or my computer removable hard drive.

Sony has the roughest firmware known to man for digital cameras. If running Windows XP or Vista you can simply connect the camera to the USB port and let the computer do the rest. Picbrige works the best for it downloads the quickest. Picbrige will be on your cameras list of choices to use for downloading
