Common problem. The water admitance valve is stuck in the bore. The valve lets in more water when pressure drops and when wand is closed the pressure builds and the incoming water is blocked. Remove the valve spool and clean the bore with crocus cloth on a dowel rod. Replace the O Rings and lube with plumber's grease and re-assemble. Often you can buy an O Ring kit for the unit. Deposits build up and stick the valve spool at the high pressure end. The valve is usually crossways to the shaft and right where the water input is connected.

What type of oil does ryobi honda 3100psi 2.5 pressure washer uses ?problem that Im having is machine starts ok but there is no pressure Do u think having no water pressure is cuz being low on oil ?

extremely unlikely
most problems can be attributed to a blocked nozzle that will not allow the pressure regulator to bring the pump to full pressure
The system works like so
the pump uses the tap pressure to generate high pressure ( make sure tap is on and no kinks in the hose)
the pressure generated is fed through the regulator to the nozzle via a hand control
When the control is activated the regulator shuts of the by pass system and full pressure is achieved to the nozzle
when the control is released the pressure regulator by passes the water back to the inlet side and so releases the pump under load
Now if the nozzle is blocked it becomes the control and there will be no pressure
If it is partially blocked the pressure still need no pressure to work so at partial blockage it will still by pass water back to the inlet

Why the water is running from detergent siphoning tube?

The siphoning mechanism on almost all power washers use "The Venturi" effect to suck up the detergent. Basically, there's no pump...the force of the water passing the siphon hose causes a vacuum which draws the detergent up the tube. There's a small ball that is supposed to fall and block the tube when the trigger is released so it sounds like it got jammed up in there somehow. You could it apart and free it up but I would recommend just purchasing an external detergent dispenser. Home Depot carries them for about 15 bucks. They allow you to use soap with high pressure and bypass the always problematic siphon system.

I have a 2600 Troy bilt pressure washer. When I start the pressure washer,no water comes out the nozzle and the nozzle is not clogged either.I took the nozzle/gun off and there still was'nt any wat

If when you take the High Pressure water hose off the pressure washer pump no water will come out they you may simple have the bypass valve stuck. You may need to just remove the outlet fitting and clean the bypass valve.
It would be helpful to know the model number of the pressure washer or the pump.

Doesn't pass high pressure water. When switched off water does pass through nozzle. Something blocked? How do I unblock it?

It sounds very much like your pump is froze-up
It is very common, especially with well water, that while the pressure washer isn't in use the water left in the pump causes corrosion that ceases up the pump.

To avoid this manufacturers strongly recommend dumping the water out of the pump between extended periods of non-use.

Karcher 2400 psi with honda motor started up big puff of white smoke from exaust it shut off noiw wont start whats going on

I have a john deere 3000psi pressure washer with similar problem. Running fine then a puff of smoke and it shut down. I checked the oil and found it full of water. Not only that but since I still had the water turned on, the water was flowing out of the dip stick tube. I'm trying to find a solution online and will pass any information on.

Water fill problem on Hotpoint Dish Washer Deluxe Model DF 31

Pl check the small filter fitted near the water inlet hose. Probably you may have to pull this filter as this is housed in the threaded pipe attached to the body.

Remove the hose from the machine and try flushing. see whether you get sufficinet pressure from over-head tank!

Clean the filter with tooth brush or reverse clean. Do no for get to fit rubber washer.

For pressure washer Model WP-2402-SWHB, SN 10132043: With Honda engine running, or no engine running, no water will pass through the pump.

Hi If no water is passing through your pump on mains water pressure and not sucking from a barrel then it will be either a blocked nozzle, blocked unloader on the side of the pump or a blocked water filter.

Pressure washer - My water blaster does not speed up

I was mistaken in my thinking about how the pressure washer works. There is a by-pass valve that takes the load off the engine when you stop spraying. The engine actually runs at a constant RMP. When the spray is on, the by-pass valve closes and this increases the load on the engine. This is what I had been hearing as a "speeding-up" of the engine and was no longer hearing. Anyway, I took the un-loader apart and blew it out with some compressed air. It works fine now.

No high preasure at nozzle

Try starting the washer up without a nozzle clicked in and purging water through the pump, shut it down and install the nozzle and restart, if the motor lugs then it is making pressure, if the pump squirts water out of the by-pass immediately and or constantly it may be a stuck bypass and not a bad pump.

Do not know how to work power washer

Dear Carrie688,
I cannot for sure understand your problem. You say, you do not know how to WORK power washer. Does WORK mean FIX...or USE???? I will assume that you wish to know how to use it.
First without water connected and without gun connected...switch on the machine. If it turns, then this means the electric motor is OK. Now connect the hose and gun. Connect water supply. Now always start the machine with gun open. This will help to remove air from system. When pressure builts up, close gun, and machine must stop instantly. If machine does not stop, open the gun again and switch off the machine. If the machine continues working when the the gun is closed, this will result in a lot of damage. I do not know what model you have, because also there are old models that when gun is closed, the machine keeps running. I assume your model is recent. So the machine will stop when gun is closed. Now when finished, switch off machine and electricity. And most important release pressure from gun. Do not store machine with pressure still in it. This will damage machine and it is not safe.
Now if you have detergent, this can only work on low pressure. There are bigger machines that detergent works on high pressure. But the normal system is that detergent works on low pressure. Also before storing, pass fresh water to remove all detergent from pump of machine. Never store a machine with detergent in its system.
Regards,
Fulltech.
