I have a LG 62SX4D Projection TV 62 Inch Big Screen the bulb needed replacement so I replaced it. Unfortunately I do not have the original remote control and I believe you need it to reset the unit once you put the bulb in. is there any other way to reset it?

Hello; If you did not completely reassemble the back cover(s) it will not likely work. Most sets have a safety switch built into all back panels and doors to stop the set from coming on. John
I just had the same problem. Came down to a bad cap on the main power supply board C871. This is the first filter cap after the diode on the 6V supply. Funny,, the schematic calls for a 25V part,, however this one was rated at 16V :-)
Lamp would be the first thing to check but lamp failure will not cause the picture to be fussy. Lamp only affects brightness. Nor would it cause sound to go out.It could be several thing . Diagnosis by qualified serv tech will be required.
very possible unit has bad optical engine .May not be worth repairing.Optical engine is complete unit that includes lamp,LCD panels, fans,optics and other parts.They come complete and cost about 3-6 hundred dollars ..thanks

Sounds like it could be a "light tunnel" ~~ can you see a full but unevenly lit image in a dark room? If so it should be. Made of polycarb mirrors and they fall to bits.
ON MY LG 62SX4D THE HDMI SOUND DOES NOT WORK. THE PICTURE IS GREAT BUT THE SOUND IS BROKEN AND DISTORTED. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM AND WHAT WOULD IT COST TO REPAIR?
