TV wont turn on

42" sony rear projection TV. When turned on, led (stby) blinks 6 times, stops, then repeats. This happened one time a couple of weeks ago but after switching off power for awhile resumed normal play.

Help would be appreciated.

The stand by/timer light flashes several times whenever the TV is turned on but the picture and sound never comes on and it just shuts off, I tried resetting the TV and unpluggind and replugging in every cable but nothing works.

Tv will shut off and red light will flash 3 times

If its Sony KDF-42WE655 TV that goes to standby and LED blinks 3 times then check Lamp Door that seems not fixed properly.
That happens when lamp replaced in TV.
If its different model number TV, let me know exact model number.

Television won't turn on

If its a DLP tv chances are the bulb went out, double check with the manufacturer before getting as they are not cheap, around the $250 range.

42" Sony LCD Projection

the manual indicates a six blink is "low B error, no"DD 6V" output from "g" board" the "g" board in a sony is usuall the main power supply board. the center pin of "D1634" is where the +6V comes from, don't short the pins while checking. good luck
