I have a Wacom Intuos2 Tablet, and the pen was working fine, when all of the sudden, the pen does not work. The cursor will not move upon contact with the tablet. The tablet light remains orange and turns green when I press the pen against the tablet, but nothing else happens. I can't click or move the cursor with the pen.

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.
Created an account just to say thank you to Magriv. Was about to toss my intuos2 Pen into the trash when I saw your post. After a few turns left and right, voila! Thanks again!
They sell spares on the wacom website. Just click on the estore tab and you'll fine your tablet near the bottom. They have switches, nibs and grips for the pen - the switch currently costs €6.50. Pens cost €101.
In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.
same too me.on my old pc.that center thing was working fine.there wasnt any vibrtion at mouse pointer.i cant explain but i know same problem here..mouse pointer slips
I know this question was asked a long time ago, but I just had this similar problem and found a solution to it.
1. Install the latest Wacom drivers for your device
2. Open the Wacom Tablet Properties from the Start menu.
3. Click on the Mouse tool
4. Click on the Mapping tab halfway down the screen
5. Change the mode from Mouse to Pen
Hello there. Sorry to tell you but no. the graphire and intous pens are 2 different animals. one has 512 levels of sensitivity and the other has 1024 among other things. you have to get a new pen.
I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.
Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.
How do I restore my Intus2 grip Pen on my Wacom tablet when it stops working due to various reasons; hitting the edge of the tablet area, drawing errors, etc.? I keep having to restart program and computer to restore it. Kinda a pain when it happens continuously. I am working in CS4 on Mac OS W vrsn 10.5.6. I am having this problem working in CS4 Illustrator probably would happen in Photoshop as well. Any solutions for resetting pen without having to restart each time??
To make the 1st solution even easier, disconnect the tablet from the usb port, lay the pen flat on the tablet surface and plug the tablet back in. Worked like a charm for me.
