Acer tv model number at3220a cant access component cable option

Make sure the item connected to the component is turned on. Also try a different TV or take it to a friend and see if it works there. That will at least narrow it down to the TV, cable, or the actual component.

Sanyo DS31590 no remotes will work, will not turn on power or volume but changes channels

If you can control the TV by using its front panel controls, and only remote control is not working, the fault may be either to its remote control handset or to the remote sensor inside. The remote sensor is a small component, having only three solder terminals and will look like this. 7_12_2012_12_53_47_pm.jpg7_12_2012_12_54_01_pm.jpg
This is the component inside the TV which senses the infrared rays emitted by the remote control, and convert it to digital signals, and send to the microcomputer section circuit to process. This component can be located just behind the infrared remote window at the front panel of the TV. You have to open the TV to access it, and to replace it. Just check your remote for its infrared emission, before going further. Just get more details about how to check a remote control from this site named 'Electro-help'. Pull up older posts there. Just check this link, and locate the site named above.

after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to CRT TUBE - TV TUBE ) becomes weak - then few TVs ( not all TVs ) behaves exactly as you have described.............. .......so solution is EHT ( also called as flyback transformer ) should be replaced....... {{ few details about EHT---- its size will be around 3inch X 2inch X 2inch ---it will have 2 or 3 knobs to adjust focus , brightness ------ at bottom around 10 pins will be there ------- from EHT 1 thick red colour cable goes to CRT TUBE --------- on EHT its part number will be there }} -------- so if user is a technical person having idea about components ( resistors, transistors, diodes, etc ) , having tools like multimeter ( to check components) , soldering iron, soldering lead, flux, desoldering wig ( for removing components), etc also little experience in servicing field( compulsory) ----------------- then user can remove EHT from main board ---- take to electronic shop ----- buy same type EHT --------- fix to mainboard ( knobs on EHT should be adjusted according to picture --- after switching TV --- this adjustment is very important ) ----------iam from bangalore (09986222774, [email protected]) ----- here EHT's price will be around Rs 250 ( US $ 6 ) & for my customers (in bangalore) i will take another Rs 500 (US $ 11) as service charge......i don't have any idea about EHT ' s price & service charge in your place.........since it is very risky job i suggest to contact TV service engineer ------- because they are highly experienced & can fix this component very easily. ------------ [[ sometimes along with EHT another component called transistor ( big in size - situated close to EHT - it will have 3pins - its size will be 1inch X 1/2 inch X 1/2 cm --approximately ---- black in colour ----- fixed to aluminium metal ) --- will also gets deffective --- so this component also should be checked ]] ---- in your case this transistor is good ... because when this component gets deffective then TV won't get '' ON '' .............so in your case only EHT should be replaced.........100% it works normally ----- though it is 12yrs old itseems TV TUBE is still in good condition because you have said that when display comes picture is clear......so if EHT ( same type) is replaced then your TV will work atleast for 2 more years.....GUARANTEE.......

The tv is having a cracking sound and there is spark inside. the tv is having picture problems everytime it is turned on.

There is leakage of high voltage from LOT (line output transformer) causing sparking, get this LOT replaced and do not turn the set ON as it may damage the complete set,one of the other cause of sparking is picture tube earthing is not proper, call some technical expert to rectify, memory loss is also due to this sparking.

Tv works jsut no pic black and white screen says weak or no signel?

If it says "weak or no signal", this means your are not showing the correct input or have no channels programmed.

To find the the correct video input:
1. turn On the device you are trying to see
2. press the [input] button on the side of the TV until you get a picture (wait 3 seconds between pressing the button)

You program the TV by accessing it in the User Menu.

Also, You may access the inputs using the TV remote. Each input button (V4 and V5) may need to be pressed muliptle time to access the picture . When you press this on the remote you will notice the input change from Composite 1, Component 1, S-Video. V5 will show composite 2 and component 2. Using the side panel allows youto scan all inputs in case you are not sure.
