I Need to Remove Fan from a Breville BBL600XL blender. I believe the fuse has blown -- I can get everything off but the fan... please, if anyone has done this -- how do I remove the fan so I can open it up and replace the fuse? Thank you!

Hold the fan still and then turn the top and it will start to loosen the bolt you can see on the fan.
Side Note: If you need to remove the bottom completely then you also have to remove the screws hidden under the rubber feet.

My breville blender model#bbl600xl leaks every time I put liquid in it, the gasket is in place and it is tightened as much as possible, what is the problem.

It leaks if you over tighten it. So try to just do it finger tight. I was having the same problem, once I eased off on the tighten if stop leaking. I assume you are getting it correctly aligned as that can be the other issue.

Hello, I didn't see model #BBL600XL which is what

The jar has to be on for it to blend.

If you replace the jar first check the printing on your old jar. If your jar has blue print you will need a new jar and blade, Breville redesigned the jar and now the old blades don't work with the new jars. You tell the difference between the jars by the print color, old is blue, new is white.

I think I overloaded the blender. Seems like it over heated. now the light on controls goes on but blender does not run when I push buttons. I checked the fuse and its good. What else should I check?

If fuse is good and light is on, then you are getting power. Most likely and very very commonly the motor is fried. I have done it myself with 3 of these things.

Breville blender won't turn on. The on light is flashing red instead of solid blue. Worked fine a few days ago.

FIXED IT - It's the screws on the bottom of the jar assembly, where the blades are attached. There are 4 Torx screws - star-shaped - and when these come loose over time the Blender will start to operate only sometimes. Eventually it will be never.
Tighten these four screws and everything will be fine!

Grease build up around blade and where it attaches to base

Grease can only creep into the blender vase if the oil seal has worn out, or the blenders blade shaft is worn and wobbling. Try cleaning all parts in alcohol to soften the seals. Rebuild kits and replacement blades can be found here (http://www.brevilleusa.com/breville-parts/blending.html)

Blender will not run. the power button is lite but

There is a 10 Amp thermal fuse (SF129E) that is supposed to create an open circuit when the motor windings exceed 133 C degrees. Although this fuse should close again when the motor cools down it can become perminantly damaged. Locate the fuse by following the black leads from the coltrol board to the motor brushes. It's inside a cloth insulating sheath secured against the windings with a metal strap and two ty-raps. I bypassed the fuse with a wire instead of replacing it. It would probably just blow again sooner or later. p.s. you need a T10 Torx screw driver to disassemble (screws under rubber feet) $3 at ACE hardware.

Breville 600XL not turning on

My BBL600XL stopped working because of a blown fuse. You need to remove the phillips and torx head screws out of the bottom. Then remove the base. There you will clearly see a fuse on the circuit board.

It appears to be a 10A 250V fuse.
