Whenever we type on the Leneovo laptop keyboard and use the spacebar sometimes the cursor will jump to another part of the screen and we are not touching the keypad either
Thanks Ryan Matt but we have found the solution for Lenovo laptops with this problem through CNet where we were told to go to Control panel, then "Mouse" then "Pointer" options where we unchecked the "Hide Pointer whilst typing" then clicked on "Apply" then "OK" It worked - so we are enjoying typing again without any frustrating problems?????Thanks for your help DaveH PS you probably already know this solution anyway!"Thanks Ryan Matt but we have found the solution for Lenovo laptops with this problem through CNet where we were told to go to Control panel, then "Mouse" then "Pointer" options where we unchecked the "Hide Pointer whilst typing" then clicked on "Apply" then "OK" It worked - so we are enjoying typing again without any frustrating problems?????Thanks for your help DaveH

I don't quite understand why this would happen after pluggin in a USB mouse - but I've seen it numerous times after a liquid has been spilled on a keyboard.
Sounds like you need to replace the keyboard. Best way to test this is to plug in an external usb keyboard and see if you can type normally on it.
If the laptop keyboard exhibits this behavior, and the external keyboard doesn't - you should replace the laptop keyboard.
This is usually caused by the thumbs coming in contact with the touchpad below the spacebar when typing. Make sure to keep your thumbs raised or resting lightly on the spacebar.
Hi, the problem is coming from the keyboard. you can test by plugging an external keyboard and try typing on the external. you can replace the laptop keyboard if necessary.
I wonder if something may have be spilled on the keyboard.?
If you are sure that this is not possible, You may have picked up a virus and have some bad files.
If you are running VISTA, type recovery manager, then choose hardware driver re-installation and next, allow the system to re-install your hardware drivers.
This will not effect your saved files or programs. Will only reinstall the hardware drivers.
If you still have the same outcome, you will have to replace the keyboard.
In the meantime, you can pickup and USB keyboard and use it until ready to have repairs completed.
Hope this info has helped you.
