I can't installed it

Windows XP should load drivers for the card automaticly, you may want to upgrade you system to SP3 if you havent already, Go in BIOS before start up and uninstall your onboard Audio driver under Onboard Periferals, click disable/turn it off, If you have an XP instulation cd you may be able to point windows to the Legacy driver.

I buy this notebook 5 year before and that time window xp was installed but now i install win 7 and problem is that my sound card is not working now, pls tell me from where i can install the suitable sound...

Hi, the problem is that your system wasn't designed for Windows 7. You could try the Packard Bell website and down load the latest driver, even its not for Windows 7. Or try the Realtrek AC'97 sound driver, its free to down load from a google search. Your other potenial problem is that you will need minimum of 2Gig of memory to run Windows 7.

Down graded to XP from vista and sound not working

Actually this notebook is not officially designed to work on Windows XP, however there are some unofficial drivers available for windows XP, you may try downloading the sound drivers from:
http://sites.google.com/site/sriksang/software/drivers

I'd recommend to install all the drivers from this page.
In case the drivers on this site do not work, let me know I shall provide you other links to the drivers.

Please rate this solution.

Sound Driver of a Compaq Presario C700 Notebook PC

Starcomp gave this on another post as to where to find the drivers for windows XP: http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=1194857. There is a check on the site for compatibility check to you laptop or audio card.

Sqabdul, you will find a VGA driver there, too, but you will need all the information on your video card.
