WD Software will not load up, and Windows keeps giving me an I/O error. With the I/O error, I am not able to see or access any files that I have on my WD MyPassport 1TB, SN WXD0AA9W6561

Try to run error checking on that drive...
If that fails u can format hard drive

If you have not reinstalled a new OS the drive should be seen after starting your unit.

Disconnect the USB drive and reboot your unit.

After the unit comes up, plug in the drive.

If the drive is new to the system, it will locate and load drivers.

Afterwards it should give the opium to view files.
It should also be seen in your device manager, under disk drive.

You should be able to go to prosperity's and see sharing opium's ect. ( Security ) Try to make your changes here

Login with Administrator account on Windows (Root account on Linux) connect the WD passport, access the files / change the permissions.

are you running Linux or a windows operating system? if running windows you will need a software named Linux Reader, a free Windows application that emulates the look and feel of the Windows XP Explorer and allows read-only access to ext2 and ext3-formatted drives

Go to Run-->msconfig then see under Startup Uncheck the file showing zsqiupzq.dll file..

I stil do not have enough information HP model number for the windows (OP) operating system. Your error sound like something missing or curept on thr disk. Is you cd drive E:\   ?   Or is you hard drive E:\  ? Does your cd say that it is compatable with windows 2,000 ?  If not either reload the Xp or obtain the correct version of Office pro.
Do you see any scratches or smudges on the face of the CD? Microsoft can replace these CDs if damaged. Cal them if true.

Here is a tedious solution that works. Use MioNet and move all the files you want to keep to another drive or another computer, then delete everything from the MyBookWorld. Remove MioNet from all computers. Next access the drive's built in Shared Storage Manager with a web browser. Check the pdf manual on the install disk to find out how. Create a new shared folder and then move everything you want on the drive into the new folder WITHOUT using MioNet. Map the shared folder as a network drive for easy access. Never, ever, EVER use MioNet again and all should be good. The drive works, the MioNet software does not.

try to disable all firewall setings or antivirus...after try accesing frome ur command prompe if u can that the windows is blocking the hdd...uninstall any new software or driver and try again...no effect ok dowload ophcrack live cd frome google and access the hdd by force repare or scan it in surface scan that will fix ur clusters problems that might be in the back off this prob an du know wer e2 go frome there
