TV turns itself off after about 5 minutes (green light remains on). I can turn off the TV and turn it back on immediately, however, the TV turns itself back off after a few minutes. It started turning off itself off after displaying harizontal shock waves like lines on the screen that got progressively worst. Now there is no line, just powers off. Once turn back on shows great for about 5 minutes then clicks off (no picture or sound) with green light still on.

Check and make sure your fans are working and there is sufficiant cooling to the back of the set. Sounds like it is overheating and going into protection mode.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

TV won't turn on even though it starts green, then goes off

Although my tv still does the "turn green and turn off" thing, I simply unplugged and repluggd the tv. After I did that, I pushed the "ON" button on the tv itself, unplugging and replugging the tv until it finally came on. I think the "instant warm-up" switch is going out.

Mitsubishi WS 65513 turns itself off

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps
