Try to turn TV back on the next day. It come on with green screen for 5 second first try, second try, TV turn itself off immediately after power on. Had TV for about 2.5 year and warrenty is out. We are having the same problem of the Pioneer Elite Pro-99 turning itself off all of a sudden. The red 'non' power button comes on as if we had turned it off remotely. We would love to resolve this. If you can help let us know.

Hey I have the same problem with my 42fd9954/69s. The best solution that I found that works everytime is I have taken the back off my plasma hung it on the wall. Then when I need to turn it on I it starts clicking, so I get my $10 room heater and blow some hot air down the back of the tv from the top and 30 secs later the tv will turn on.
Sounds almost like you have a voltage missing on the power supply board. if its a missing voltage a service manual and a multi meter should help ya find whats missing But a shop repair on a set like this could cost a bit as anything over 27" is a little costoly to fix these days. Only way to see is call and say to your self How old is the set? is it the set you really like do you wanna spend 150 to 225 to repair? it up to you. Good Luck
