Assuming you want the result in the form :
a) 120% (if positive) or 80% (if not), then percent = Actual / Budget * 100
b) 20% (if positive) or -20% (if not), then percent = (Actual / Budget * 100) - 100
Its a feature of the laptop, you use it plugged in more than battery power right? If you go toStart Menu/Programs/Samsungthere should be a program called"BatteryLife Extender". Click on it and you can choose to either let it charge to 80 percent or all the way to 100. However, if you use it plugged in mainly then I would recommend leaving it only to 80 percent to avoid possible discharging of the battery from constantly charging. Hope this helps.
On calculators you do not usually get percents. Instead, you get values which can be converted to a percent. For example what percent is 245 out of 987. You divide 245/987=.248. This is essentially the same as saying 24.8 percent. You move the decimal over 2 values. You can also round to get a nice percent number such as 25 percent. If you are trying to put in a percent lets say you have to find 47% of 80. You just multiply .47 * 80= 38.4
Dont be panic. Your laptop has absolutely no problem.Your manufacturer had set a 80-20 policy for the laptop battery charging such that the battery wont be charged to 100 percent but it will charged only upto 80 percent. The makers of the lap are doing this because to give good life to the battery. You can change it by going into the power options inside control panel.
