I think your boot record (Master Boot Record) is damaged and this can come from Windows just trashing itself as it is prone to do, or the hard drive has failed. That message is generated by the BIOS.

Reboot to its factory settings
do you mean reload the operating system ?
if yes and if you didn't delete the recovery partition in your harddrive, you can press alt+f10 during boot, it will guide you to the reload operating system.
