MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

The rca easy rip says player isnt conected???

I had the same problem. I was able to get my new music on mine through my windows media player, then able to sync it on to my RCA MP3. I am not very good with technology but it worked for me. I guess the media player is my default program.

I just purchased a RCA flash mp3 player. I

1. Plug the MP3 player into the USB port. Open Windows Media Player, which will recognize that the device is plugged in and register under the "Sync" tab at the top.
2. Click on the "Sync" tab and and the library that is on your MP3 player will be displayed.
3. You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option.
4. After selecting "Delete," another window will come up which says "Are you sure you want to delete [title of song]?" There are two options at this point--you can delete from the library only or from the library and your computer. Select the one or the other and click "OK." The song will be deleted. The change will be displayed within the library onscreen.
5. When you unplug the player from the port, the library will adjust the files to reflect the change. The player will say "configuring library" or some other message to that effect. Once this has finished, the main screen will be displayed. Depending on the model of the MP3 player, there may be a message stating "library updated."

I dont know the steps to putting music on my pearl rca?

ok first off there are a few ways to do this the most easy way i know is just using My Computer in windows and finding the icon that is your mp3 player or is listed as a usb storage device, open that up and look for a folder called music and if none exist then try just draging and dropping your music into that folder and see if that works. Next if that wont work try opening up windows media player, then connect your mp3 player, then goto the sync button at the top of the screen and see if your mp3 player is listed if it is then go back to the media library button and start draging your music that you want on there to the sync list on the side and after your done click sync. hope this helps

How do i download music on my mp3

Go to RCA and download the easy rip software.
http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/

Or you can do it this way.
ow to Add music to your mp3 player and deleate it.

This works with windows media player 10 and 11 only.
Here is a link you can use and is most helpfull.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx
After you go to the site mentioned above.
You need to know a few terms that are used.

mp3 = player means DEVICE OR PORTABLE DEVICE
addin Files = SYNCHRONIZING, SYNC, or SYNCING
copying files = rip or ripping

Files stored on mp3 player or your computer is library this is only when
mp3 player is connected to your computer.

Step one connect your mp3 device to usb of your computer.
Step Two Open Windows Media Player (10 or 11).
Step three Click on the icon of your mp3 player on left hand side of library
Step four Click on songs, tracks, or other music folder.
Step Five Find songs, or song the you want to get ride of (delete)
Step Six lift click the song to high-light it.
Step seven Press the delete button on your pc keybord.

Most mp3 you can drag and drop songs into the music folder.

Trying to music on rca lyra mp3

Try Windows Media Player 10 or 11 on an XP machine. Search for media files on your computer to add to the Media Player library. Create a playlist of songs from your library. Use the Sync tab to sync the RD2765 to that playlist.
