1.The mount keeps falling off the windscreen. It is a new style mount. Can it be fixed or does it need to be replaced?

In the box you have a 'desktop' mount. Looks like the windscreen mount without the ******. Also you will have got a mains power lead. Plug the lead into the 'desktop mount' (Left hand side) of the stick up bit. Plug in and put your 910 onto the mount. It will 'Click' into place The green light will shine to show it's charging.
To release the unit from the mount PRESS in the button in the middle of the screen top rim and lift off.
Remember to turn of the power at the socket to stop wasting electricity
The usb part of the desktop mount goes into your pc so you can connect to TomTom home or just plain old 'back it up' It is ok to have power switched on or off when connect to the pc, there is no need to unplug the jackplug.
I have had the same problem a few times. The only thing that seems to help me is to put the mount on the windshield first, ensuring that I push it firmly into place, and then slide the gps unit into it.
send it back its nacked.demand they repair or replace its a common fault they are aware of point them here if they argue dont accept fob offs or their **** service these units are a waste of time there is no easy fix like new mounts or bungs etc
There is a tiny reset button on the back of the device where the mount goes. Its hard to spot so `go to the tom tom web site to get help with this if you can't spot it. Use a paper clip and press it in this recess hole for 30 seconds. This will reset the device and should work after that. make sure you back up your device and keep a paper clip in the car!
This is a common problem with the 910. Try putting an obstacle in the way of the wire to keep it on. Better still is to not use the home dock at all. Just plug the home charger in to the windscreen mount (device connected of course!) and charge it that way. You get a better charge and it will stay on.
If you are asking how to remove the mount from the GPS, I believe on the Tom Tom Go 910, it slides off. You should be able to hold the mount and slide the unit up off the mount, if I remember correctly.
stevi at the back of your tom tom where your windscreen dock goes there is a small rubber bumper if you look to the right and down you will see the reset button it is a small hole above the dock socket. sandy
