My hard drive ( Western Digital My Book Essential Edition (WD5000c032-002) 500 GB Hard Drive ) is fallen and now it is broken. My computer doesn't recognize it anymore. I have important things on it and i need to recover these things. Is it repairable?

If you dropped the drive, you can send it to http://techrxgb.com and they can try to "un stick" the damage on the drive. It certainly will cost you a few dollars, but it's possible your data is okay.

Is the power light on, if not replace the power supply.
I f you have light then your hard drive is shot or the circuit inside the box is fried.
If it is out of warranty and you have another Western Digital Sata drive handy you can swap it with the one inside to see if the drive is bad.
Good luck.
try to right click on "My Computer"->Manage-> Disk Mng.
Then try to see if you can recognize you this disk.
maybe you just need to change the letter or format it.
Is it still under warranty?
