It could be that the laptop is overheating. Sometimes the CPU is overheating because the Thermal Paste on it has dried up or is not thick enough. It sounds like it starts back up after it has cooled off minutes later. Contact the guys at: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com

I do not know if you want to replace the replace the power cord or the receptacle for the power wand?

Go to your local dealer and let him replace what you have with a generic foot control. Should take him about 15 minutes. What kind of problem do you have with the one you have? If it is a cord problem it may have to be ordered from a wholesale supplier or a white dealer may have one in stock.

It sounds like it's failed, and needs to be replaced, WD will ship you a new one if you give them a credit card, then you can send that one back, don't forget to send it back though, or they'll charge you several times what you could buy a new one for at your local shop.

I just purchased my cord from 1800customersupport.com Shipping has went down. The cord is $10 and shipping is now $5.50 instead of $8.50.
