Monitor horizontal lines problems usually caused by a defective vertical output/driver ic. A missing supply voltage to the vertical output ic may caused similar faults which is one horizontal line across the display. Dry joints and missing vertical output pulse from vertical oscillator ic also could contribute the same symptom. If you discovered that the protection resistor (usually from 1 to 4.7 ohm) open circuit or burnt, then replacing it won't solve the problem. The resistor burnt or open circuit was due to a short in the vertical output ic. Thus you have to replace the vertical output ic and the burnt resistor together before you switch on the monitor.

check the filter near vertical ic and also check the vertical ic if it is good and also check the if there is 24v supply to vertical ic.!

hi if only a horizontal line across with no video anymore, you have bad either vertical ic or no dc supply b+( vertical ic ) or no output dc coming from the ic. if it is not totally a horizontal white line and you can see a video you must check leak or bulged capacitors at the vertical section near the vertical ic. hope this can help good luck.

No, you may have 2 different problems. I would repair the vertical first. Check for 24v on your vertical output ic, maybe bad vertical output ic. If it is shorted, may draw down your vcc for your audio circuit. Check vertical circuit for open resistors or bad vertical output ic.

Your eeprom is corrupted. Try replacing it with correct eeprom and with its DATA.

If the line is "vertical" then the vertical circuit sounds OK. The problem would be in the horizontal deflection.

Check yoke connection and solder around horz defl circuit.

If the line is horizontal then I would suspect the vertical IC.

hi there, is the single line horizontally or vertically? if horizontal line, you do have a vertical section problem, check some parts at vertical section, the vertical ic, the power source of vertical section ie diode & resistors. ty

Check voltage supply at vertical amp ic ,if present than change vertical amp ic.Some times supply line is dameged by faulty amp ic.therefore you have to rctify supply and replace ic.Check supply line fusible resistors.
