hi there, is the single line horizontally or vertically? if horizontal line, you do have a vertical section problem, check some parts at vertical section, the vertical ic, the power source of vertical section ie diode & resistors. ty

May I know when was the last time it was turn on?

Assuming that you don't even have a standby light on the led.
Here are some DIY steps that may help you fixing the problem.

1. Check the power cord - check the cord it might be opened (no continuity).This is due to frequent bending and pulling.
2. Check the internal fuse - sometimes the fuse fail because of the power surge, replacing with new one cure the problem. However if the fuse blew again then this is an indication that you have a shorted parts on the power supply. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.
3. If the fuse is intact then you have a faulty in the power supply or on the load. You might have an open fusible resistor,open volt regulator ic, shorted H-out IC.

The #3 should be done by an expert or qualified technician because isolating the problem on the regulator section is technical.

But first check if the unit is under warranty then avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for you for free or a little charge only.

It sounds like you have the picture"ratio" set or adjusted wrong, find the button on your remote labeled "ratio","format","wide" any of those,then just press the button multiple times until you get the full picture that you are looking for. If you have digital cable or satellite those receivers also have picture format adjustments in their menu system that need to be set for your type of TV screen(wide 16:9 or standard 4:3). If you need help, your cable company or satellite provider can assist you with info. Good Luck ! P.S. don't forget to refer to your owners manuals.

check the diode connected to that parts most specially zener

sounds like bad tuner try to program manually and see if it will hold memory

you can change the channel of the small screen .just read the user manual of your tv.to your problem is only in the remote control

it is likely the audio amplifier is defective.have your technician replace the audio amplifier IC.

I have a sony bravia TV(MODEL:KDL50R550A) I dont know How to reprogram my ZP505 ZENITH Universal 5in1 remote control to it.

you might have to initiate the tray opening mechanism and as it's trying pry the tray forward and force it open it might fix it.

The hotel mode is set by the remote control , not the control panel.
