My LG BD530 suddenly stopped playing DVDs yesterday. It still will play Blue-Ray discs, but rejects every DVD with a "check disc" error. It had played everything fine for 2 months. I updated the software, but that didn't help. LG service is saying I'll have to send it in to them. Any other suggestions before I kiss it goodbye for 6-8 weeks?

Mine recently stopped playing all DVDs as well. When it first started saying "No Disc" while trying to play a DVD, it would eventually work after 20 or so times of ejecting and closing. Now it won't play DVDs at all. Today it also started to take quite a while longer to even load BluRay discs. Not looking good... Mine recently stopped playing all DVDs as well.
