Hi, Thanks for using the comment box, its much faster. When you state you machine goes not faster, this speed issue can be addressed in a manner more suited for your needs than reinstalling all the time.

We, here, know all the tricks in tricking out a system so it does perform faster.

Were you able to get the driver I sent you the link for? Yes?

There were also a lot of updates from Dell regarding your machine and these may contribute to your machine's performance.

First thing you want to do after getting to this point is defrag using the program found in Start Menu, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Defrag.

Its probably easier for me to send you the links with instructions on where to save them so you can find them easier.

Some of these updates are not needed. In your case, have you updated to XPSP3?

You can find this out by right clicking My Computer, choose properties. On the subsequent page, in the top right is the data regarding Windows, it should display what version you have, such as XP, XPSP1, XPSP2 and so on. Can you tell me that? I can send you the link to SP3 which fixes a whole lot of problems with XP. OK?

Can you tell me if you reside in the US or if not which country? This makes a difference on the keyboard driver set.
