Motorola w375 wont turn on?!?

My phone will not turn on correctly. it only turns on if it is plugged in, but that is only for a few seconds, then it turns off again. i believe this to be either a software problem, or the battery is deffective.

ok, i bought this model through net10 about 3-4 months ago. it has worked fine withou any problems (except for the fact i cant recieve video messages, but of course i knew it wouldnt be able to XD). ok heres the deal, my phone battery died on me because i didnt have my charger on me where i was. when i got home, i couldnt find my charger so i tried my sister's camera charger (same usb connection) that didnt work (wierd because i use it before on my phone). so i tried to use a usb cable that hooked up to the computer and had the same connection as my charger. IT didnt work either (again, wierd because i used it before also). after that, i checked if the computer even recognized that my phone was plugged in, just in case because i didnt want to ruin anything on my phone. the computer showed no signs of the phone being plugged in, so i figured it would be ok to unplug (this is the point where i think the phone's software was damaged). i finally found my charger after an hour or so and plugged it up. the phone's charge light came on, but it came on too fast (usually it takes a few seconds to come on) and there wasnt any beep to say it was charging ( if you owned one, you would know. when plugged in to be charged, a slight beeping noise is made to show it is being charged). i thought nothing of it at first. ok, usually when it is charged while it is turned off, if you open it, the backlight will be on, and a message will say 'the battery is charging'. this did not happen. when i try to turn it on, the regular 'hello moto' screen will pop up, then the lights for the keys will turn, and normally the net10 logo will pop up, and finally it will go into the phone's OS. instead of the net10 logo poping onscreen, it goes to the 'the battery is charging' message, then after maybe a half second, maybe longer, the phone shuts off again. i dont know what to do, i have considered replacing the battery or buying a new phone and placeing the sim card in that one. i do not want to do either until i tried fixing it first. please help.

oh, and sorry for any grammer errors, im kinda flustered.

Most likely, what has happened is that the camera charger, even though it fits, puts out different voltage and amperage than the motorola charger. You've either (hopefully) just damaged the battery, or the phone itself has become damaged. I think Verizon, or Suncom also has phones with that same battery. I would recommend trying one before buying it. If it works, great... if not, you'll need to either have the phone professionally repaired, or replaced because it most likely fried the power relay circuitry in the phone. Unlikely that your problem is software though.

Thank you for the rating. Different chargers with the same size tips are tricky. Always check the voltage and amperage because even if they work at first, it's usually only a matter of time before something fries, usually if the incorrect charger has a higher voltage and amperage than the intended charger. Feel free to contact me with any other electronic questions if you have them. I'll answer to the best of my ability if I can.
