Pulsating in my speakers. sounds fine but I know it cant be healthy for my speakers , you really notice it in between tracks , I have a new stylus, tried both phono inputs, Pioneer PL-10, nothing fancy, running into a Carver C-1 preamp.

You need to make sure the room sounds or vibrations aren't feeding back into the turntable. Does it vary with volume? Infrasonic filtering might help, too.

It sound like bass rumble ( or bass feedback) to me, try locating your turntable further away from the speakers if possible, and make sure it is isolated from the table or what ever it is sitting on, by some sort of rubber feet.

I've got an Audio Technica LP-1240 turntable with a Shure M97xE cartridge. I've had it for several days now, and it's been playing fine. I just got a record cleaning kit (Tonar cleaning brush with a bottle...

A damaged or worn stylus will effect all records not just one. I don't know what D4 fluid is, but if there was some still present on the record it could have got inside the cartridge and done some damage to it.

Distorted, cracked sound coming through to the speakers

is it possible your new reciever has a built in phono pre-amp?

If so, you need to switch off the pre-amp inside the turntable (lift up the rubber matt, and rotate the plate untill you see the switch at the back)

Try again now?

Sound is Pulsating when music plays

Ahh, I have these speakers and its common when you have the volume knob turned all the way down, to fix it, turn the volume REALLY low in windows, so that way you have to turn the volume knob on the speaker control up to 50-100%. And you will have better sound..... No pulsing
