Same thing, it says ready, I press small cup brew to try to flush the system since it has not been used in a long time, and the machine gets very loud and vibrates, it's actually kind of scary so I turn it off. Should I leave it on and see what happens? but is sounds like something is going to blow up!, lol. strted making lots of unusual noise in brew cycle where it's usually kinda quiet; took forever to push water through. Never done this before -- did it again after running vinegar through.strted making lots of unusual noise in brew cycle where it's usually kinda quiet; took forever to push water through. How old is your machine ? and what maintenance have you done over time such as replacing the shower curtain located at the pourring end of the hot water ? I had too very loud noise coming occasionnally from the stainless steel rack holding the cup while coffee is delivered. If your ground coffee is too fine it will stop flow during making a shot. Is water coming out when no coffee is placed in the portafilter. The water pump on this machine is a cheap pump that has to be replaced over time. Mine is 7 years old and has delivered four cups of expresso everyday of the year, and still working.
Any coffee brewer will bring water to a boil and expel the hot water over grounds or into a container. This water is sometimes under great steam pressure and is released by the user with a knob, handle, etc. These pressurised machines all make noises but should be within the normal operating range while using the machine. If it makes noise other than when in use then there may be an issue. Have a technician check for safety reasons as you are dealing with a 'steam BOILER' . For drip makers there should be no pressure other than the normal 'glug-glug' sounds while brewing. A commercial brewer will just have water sprinkling down into the basket and possible 'whine' noise as the tank refills. But if it's not your normal noise then have a tech check it out. The water tank is probably not seated correctly. It can look as though it is, but you have to make sure the forward edge of it has been tilted so that the angled indentation in the plastic exactly mates with the machine. If it doesn't, water is not drawn from the tank, the pump makes a noise, and steam comes from the pod area.
Usually this is the expansion of steam as the heating element quickly rises to the preset temperature. This process heats the water to the correct temperature and causes the water to flow upward from the water reservoir. Then out the brewing spout over the coffee grounds.
It will usually make strange noises at the end of this cycle too. The water is used up and remaining steam is vented. Sounds more like a burping and last minute gurgle really. :)
The Keurig machine is either clogged with coffee grounds or the air bladder needs to be replaced. Use the key tool under the tray to clean out machine. If this does not work you can have the machine repaird. I hope this works.
There is a lever inside the door on the right. It is at the top in the center. Pull it back one click and try again. The crunching noise does it sound like a clicking noise?
