I cant post the link here because its javascript.
Goto support.asus.com and in the search bar to your left, type K40AF and select All from the Category menu. Click search and select the product from the search result. Choose your OS, and install the drivers for your hotkeys. One of them will enable them.
Cheers.

If it is a bad virus that won't let you do anything on the computer, follow the instructions on this link. If you can install programs on your computer, follow only steps 7 and 8 from the above link.

Can a virus infected pc be treated instead of reformatting it?

Yes it is possible but it may not fully remove the virus, it depends upon the type of virus infection.
If you have not installed a virus protection program, then this makes your task more difficult.
I would try a WEB base virus removal program first, provided you can connect to the Internet. Try these WEB base virus links first and if successful then install a virus program.
WEB-based Virus Scan Trend Micro housecall
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
symantec - Norton Security Scan
http://security.symantec.com
If all fails then you need to format your hard disk and install Windows again together with the computer's device drivers and your programs.

I am unable to run any program on my pc. It is infected with a virus and anytime i start the pc the virus covers the whole screen within minutes and disable all programs

Try downloading Malwarebytes (malwarebytes.org) and run it. If you can't run it on that computer, get a recovery CD (such as the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows) and use that to try and recover.

Want to know the steps to reformat Toshiba - Satellite Pro

Your data - In order to ensure don't copy any infected data backup as few executables as possible. BEFORE restoring your data make sure you have antivirus installed and up to date. Perform a full scan after copying the data back to your lt. Put in the recovery disk and restart your computer. Look for a prompt on the screen to "boot from disk" while it is booting. Press the key it says to press and follow the directions from there. If there isn't a prompt to boot from disk try pressing Alt and F10 while it boots.
