Kenwood eXcelon radio problem I have 2 subs in my civic that work perfectly fine but i recently tried to add another amp to run my front door speakers seperately. I spliced the remote wire between the two amps and my radio says protect and neither amp turns on. So my question is how do i run two remotes from my head unit?

Cut the remote wire from the radio.
install a relay in line
the relay will have 4 or 5 terminals
connect terminal 87 to battery power and fuse it at 3amps
connect terminal 86 to the remote output from the head unit
connect terminal 85 to ground
connect terminal 30 to your amp turn on wires
this allows the turn on load to run thru the relay and not directly off the radio remote output

SOURCE: cd player plays, but no sound comes out of speakers.

Look at the enwood. I bet you have the remote wire hooked to the blue wire insted of the blue/white wire. The blue wire goes dad when you play a cd as it is for a power antenna. The blue/white wire is your amp turn on.

Now, if you do not have a blue/whie and only blue, then obviously that circuit in the radio is bad in whch case your only other option s are either connecting it to an accesory fuse or using a toggle switch connected to power.

first off the amp gets power straight from the battery. the amp is used to power the subs. the subs are suppose to be connected to the amp only( never the speakers).

for the second part you mostlikely killed the wires. you should get some one to look at it and check the wires. thee speakers might need to be re-wired

SOURCE: my kenwood excelon radio says protect what do i do

A faulty speaker wire or speaker is usually the problem. A thorough check by a professional with a multi-meter is recommended

Kenwood x1200m

this amp is 1 ohm stable and a monoblock which means there is only one channel in the amp so if you run both subs parallel at 2 ohms and parallel them together you will be at 1 ohm which this amp will handle excellently. i know this because i have it and have been running it at 1 ohm for the past 2 years with no problems.

I have a kenwood eXcelon KDC-X759 and after i hooked it up it just kept flashing code off, and it will take a cd but no sound and the radio works fine

does the cd seem to be working other than no sound? if so, are you running the audio through an amplifier? if you are using an amplifier, you may be using the antenna remote wire (blue) instead of the amp remote wire (blue/white stripe) to turn the amp on. when using the antenna remote wire it turns off when going to cd mode.

The amp is only putting out on 1 channel

I do believe this is caused by one of your amp fuses. Depending on which + on the amp is being used. That channel has a blown fuse. have you tried running + and -, + and - to both channels to see if both subs worked? If one sub doesn't then it's a blown fuse or scarred fuse and needs to be changed.

Need help with cooling fan

Recheck your wiring if this is a new problem. Or if you know someone with a multimeter put it on ohms and check the resistance on the subs. Or if you have multiple subs unhook them all and hook them back up one by one and run it in between to see if the amp runs cooler. Remember you can not go to low on ohms. speakers hooked in parallel brings the ohms down fast. Four ohms and four ohms in parallel equals 2 ohms and so on. check the manual or on the amp somewhere to see how low of ohms you go.
