You can go to the Vivitek website and they have a handy distance calculator to help you know the correct distance to place your projector from the screen to achieve an appropriate size.

Vivtek d510 projector has black and white spots covering 1/3 of projected image

The DLP Chip is failing .The DLP or Digital Light Projection Chip contains up to 8 million tiny microscopic mirrors that tilt to project a digital image onto the screen. These mirrors are failing causing light and dark spots to appear.Unfortunately fixing this projector is probably going to cost more than buying a new one. Hope this helps.

When I turn the projector on I get scattered bright white pixels showing up on the screen with no color. What causes this.

Hello!
Bad news: the problem is the light engine! most expensive part of the projector. Due to high temperature inside and extended usage with poor ventilation, plastic filters inside the light engine start melting and picture gets "spotty". Next, the color matrix quits and one of primary colors is missing. In any case, light engine is "goner". It's very big job to replace it. I would surrender to repair facility in your place. Or, if you can get replacement projector for a good price, just do that. Your projectors repair bill might be $500+,or more. due to high cost of light engine.
Good luck,
thanks,
Alex.

It is projecting pink.

Hello, firstly I would try a new VGA cable first and then wiggle the VGA cable in the ports, sometimes the ports become damaged when strain is put on them (more likely to be the laptop VGA port) If this doesn't correct the problem then it is likely to be a polarizing lens in the projector. If so it may be too costly to repair as projectors can be bought for just over £200.

Good luck

My vivitek multimedia is showing me picture in opposite direction?

If you enter the menu, it is useful as the projector can be used for rear projection, as it is set now.

The indicator light showed our 51" vivitek projection tv needed a new bulb. We bought and installed a new one - now there is no picture. The bulb is working - but still no picture.

when you replace the door, after you have reinstalled the lamp, make sure that the button inside the television cabinet is being pushed in by the door. i had the same problem when i first replaced my bulb.
