When i switch my tv on it has a habit of switching itself off. The red light will still be on and a little green light below it flashes. some days it does it somedays it doesnt. Some times it does it once or it can do it alot in a short amount of time. The timer isnt on so its nothing to do with that but why does it keep switching itself off?

The television is switching itself off to protect itself because there is a problem with it. It may be a bad capacitor, which is usually the case but you have to catch it before it gets any worse. Because then the television will switch itself off and not come back on. The light will just continue to blink and on top of replacing the bad capacitor the entire board the capacitors are attached to might need to be replaced as well as the power supply and main board. Please do not keep turning your television on while it needs repair because it will put itself into a coma and contact a service provider asap.

Hi My panasonic viera just turned itself off the

The flshing light could mean the power supply does not work correct. Can't deliver all voltages. But I can't get a service manual, so I can't tell you for sure.

Photo 1290 Changing ink cartridge

Hi there,

You may have to reset your printer, for when the green an red are flashing. Please do the following in order to reset the printer;
1-switch off printer itself
2-switch off at socket for 20 seconds
3-hold down both black buttons on front
switch on at mains
4-switch on printer itself
green and red flash together
5-now switch off at mains and leave for 3 seconds
6-while holding down both front buttons again, switch on at mains
both green and red flash together so release
7-quickly hold down the left botton, the one with the scroll icon above it.

Hold this until it resets itself, - the print head will re
charge and it will be obvious.

Restting by unpluggin rather than turning off at mains tends not to work.

This must help you as it worked for me.

Sony 50 inch KDF E50A12U switched itself off!

Does the on/off light flash green and red or just green. Is the light to the left of the on/off light on (this means bulb has definately blown)

Probable problem is that your lamp has blown. This can replaced quite easily, but costs about £100. Search google for xl-2400, there is also a video on youtube showing how to replace bulb.

TV switches itself off after 1 minute standby flahes red to green

there seems to be a possibility that your ballast might defective.. i recommend you replace it. It might not have enough voltage to keep up with the new lamp

Sony Trinitron KV-28LS36U no sound or picture, the standby light flashing green and red but if i switch it on a little bit of sound comes and then switches off. how can i repair?

The unit is shutting itself down because a problem was detected internally. When this happens, the standby light should blink a repeated pattern. Please count the number of blinks and post the number here. That will indicate the circuit in which the problem occurred.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a Sony trinitron tv model no. KD32DX40U. When trying to turn tv on the red light below the on/off switch continues to flash red twice and green once when trying to switch on. Because of this tv does...

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works.. if this did not work then check with other power supply unit ....

Good luck..
