First scan for valid gateway ip
Use as a gateway for your wifi
and get internet access..
if u cant get,it is cause of No valid internet access,just they are playing for Network local game :))

You need to uninstall the ethernet driver and then reboot. Then use Wifi and go to the PC manufacturers website and download the latest Ethernet drivers. Install and reboot.

Your laptop has a manual IP on it you will have to dis able the IP and make it automatic for it to browse the net would have been more detailed if I knew the operating system u are using

Try disabling firewall software that must be preventing access to network. disable and reenable the lan card might also help

Hi I'm having the exact same problem with a Sitecom WL330 and a BT business hub. Just get unidentified network when trying to connect. Did you resolve your problem? and if so how?

Turn off the Windows Firewall and the firewall software (Windows Live one care) and you should be able to connect to the Internet without any problems

If it says local or unidentified network that means you are just connected to the router on the network but not through the internet. Try to go to manage wireless network, remover your network there and add it again, connect to your own network and make sure to type the correct network key., then check again. You can also try connecting to other wireless network to further isolate the problem.

if you cant connect to the internet you camn go to Start, Rum and type CMD, when the black screen aprears type in ipconfig /flushdns and enter then type ipconfig /renew
