My Acer Aspire 5520 wont power up when i tried to turn on. Battery getting power supply. orange light is glowing. but i pressed power button, it does not turn on. pls give me a solution. I removed my battery and kept it upto 45 secs.but nothing. Pls give me solution

Check your power supply to make sure it is still outputting the correct voltage.

try remove power supply and battery and long press power button to 60 sec. then plug your power supply without battery then press power on!

Try this:

Drain the static on the computer by removing the battery and the power adapter. then press the power button for 1 minute and release. Then plugged the battery back in and turned on the computer, if the computer won't come on plugged the Adapter back to the computer and try turning it on.

If problem persist it is possible that the battery already busted and you need a replacement.

Hi there! this is a possible power supply problem or the power button from the laptop is faulty.. But first I suggest that you use a different working power adapter that is same power supply for your laptop and try to remove the battery and try to clean the contact point of your batter, to further isolate the problem, if you did this troubleshooting and still doing the same thing I suggest that you bring ur laptop to acer for check up and repair of the power supply system of the laptop, if your laptop still under warranty, bring it to the service center right away.. if not then u can try doing the troubleshooting..

Try removing the power supply (from the wall) and the battery pack. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the mains power (from the wall) back in and then press the power button. It should work. Then you can replace your battery pack. Don't know why it works but it has worked for me in the past. Good luck!

To verify it isn't a battery issue you can try taking the battery out completely and plugging in the A/C adapter and turning it on.

Without more information it's hard it's hard to diagnose your issue more specificially. Do you get any lights on the front?

TAKE OUT BATTERY, REMOVE MAINS SUPPLY, HOLD POWER BUTTON DOWN FOR 30 SECS PUT POWER SUPPLY IN ONLY DO NOT PUT IN BATTERY TURN ON LAPTOP NOW PUT IN BATTERY

check if dvd drive will eject if not
if it doesnt - try another socket
if still gets nothing - change fuse in plug
if same - try another power adapter (preferably from same manufacturer and model)
If still doesnt get power try get new power supply unit from repair shop or get quote for cost to fix
