The Holmes Comfort Temp ceramic heater works fine on Low setting, but once it is set to High temperature the illuminated digital display fades out and the unit turns itself off. Unplugging and letting the unit cool down will allow the unit to turn back on. Appears unit is pulling too much power and that power draw causes some electrical component to overheat which causes unit to shut down.

I have just had a Comfort Zone CZ230ER heater installed in my garage. The room temp sensor is reading in reverse, Goes up as the room cools and goes down as the room warms.

That would be a warranty issue, but wonder if you are reading set temperature, ambient temperature or 'set back' temperature? Contact the maker.

How do I regulate temp on my lasko heater

My experience with Lasko heaters is with the small portable ceramic types. On mine there are two knobs. One is the "Power"; the fan symbol is for fan only, then (I) Low Power and (II) High Power 1500 watts. The other know is the thermostat from (-) to (+). Set the thermostat towards (+) until the temp in the room is the way you want it. Then turn the thermostat know towards (-) until the unit shuts off. This is now the temperature setting and the heater will cycle on and off to this setting. Hope this helps.

When temp. is set it will not come on at set temp.

The temp setting is not an "exact science" and is conditional:

The unit may be too close to a wall or other obstruction, such as an enclosure. It must be able to sense the temperature in the general area. When you move it, give it a few minutes the first time. After that, it will work correctly.

Honeywell HZ-705.....HELP!!!!

Should have oil in it. I don't think you can refill it. If it has leaked out, it's probably no good. Anyway, here are the instructions.

Press the *power button* once to start the heater on high power, continuous run. If left at this setting, the unit will run continuously on high power (1500 watts, 12.5 amps) and will not shut off until the unit is manually turned off.
Press the *power button* again, to change to low power, continuous run, (900 watts, 7.5 amps) and will not shut off until the unit is manually turned off.

Set temperature:

Press the temp/timer button until the temperature icon blinks. Use the up and down arrows to set the desired temperature.
The temperature icon will stop blinking and the current room temperature will reappear after the desired temperature is set.

The heater will turn off and on to achieve the desired temperature.

Set timer: (auto off)

Press the timer/timer button until the timer icon blinks. The hour display will appear. The auto off icon will also appear.
Use the up and down arrow buttons to set the heater operation time between 1 and 10 hours. This function will activate once the timer icon stops blinking. The heater will automatically turn off whn the times runs out.

Set timer: (auto on)
