I have a Holmes accutemp model HOH2520 TG-U. The heater operates for about 10-15 minutes and then the digital readout starts fluttering and it stops heating. The next day it does the same thing. Nice heat while it's on. Thanks.

Not all hoh2520's have been recalled. when you call the number on the recall website they ask you to punch in your production number and only some of them were affected. my hoh2520 tg-u was not on the list, but has the shutoff issue, however after speaking with a customer service rep, Holmes said there's nothing they can do about it. i was offered a 15% discount and free shipping on a new heater.

Normally this is the battery... Try the battery before considering to send the watch to Casio for service. Or, if you send it they will fix it and send it back. They are not very expensive for their service.

Fluttering humidity reading

Hi,
I would return it as it sounds like part of the circuit is defective.
Anything like this should have built-in Historesis - so it will wait untill a limit is reached before turning on, but also turn off at a lower limit to prevent this wasteful short-cycling.

my heater did the same, very frustrating. i have solved this problem.  i took off the plastic cover to expose the electronic circuit board and noticed that there was a white residue on the board. I wiped this clean with rubbing alcohol and put everything back. as of 3 weeks ago i have used the heater frequently as normal and not had any problems. chazdee

My oil-filled Holmes heater HOH2520U will not heat now. it was working for a while the shut its self off and now the control panel is constantly blinking unless it is set at the room temp. HELP PLEASE

I had the same problem. this is what i did. unplug the heater. removed the plastic panel to expose the control panel where the blinking light is.  Removed all the dust and cobweb build up, then using rubbing alcohol, wiped the white residue that was on the green circuit board. I did this 10 days ago and the heater has been working fine since then. chaz

Heater comes on but quickly over heats.

There is no Filter On this Model. Check to make sure there is Dirt in the Flow way of the two towers. if that is not it the back up fuse in the heater is going bad.

Heater will not operate!

did you take it apart to see if the switch is good or the thermostat was functioning?  without looking inside, other than saying it don't work, isn't going to solve anything.
