Model #WS-55807, won't stay turned on when the remote or power button on tv is engaged. Tried unplugging for more than one minute to reset, pressed menu button on tv for 8-10 seconds to reset, none of this worked.

Thirst thing to try is take the batterys out of the remote and push all of the buttons to get any electric static for say 3 to 5 minutes if that don't work try to see if your remote signal works by using your iphone and take a few photos of the remote beam when pressing ,or the remote in the tv might have gone. Ps happened to me
If you forget your passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your passcode. This is done by pressing the number 9 and QV buttons on the remote TV control at the same time, when your password is requested. This process temporarily unlocks the TV. When entering the V-Chip Lock menu, this process deletes your old passcode and prompts you to enter a new passcode.
Power button on the television itself may be stuck - go to the unit and press the power button se if it engages. If it depresses and sticks there is your issue - if it does not check the remote take out the batteries and unscrew the unit take the rubber pad out of the casing and spray out with canned air. If that doesn't do it - try unplug the tv from the wall for 1 minute or 2 and replug-in and see if the problem persist if so you will need to contact a tv repair shop but it sounds like the button on the tv needs to be cleaned because something is holding the power position in a spot to turn the unit off
Unplug, replug the tv back like 24 hrs later. That the whole tv is resetting itself everythings.Tv now should be working again. If still have the same problems, than ur tv DM power supply board is have dying parts, must repair the tv DM power supply board to fix the tv.
I had a similar problem: my WS-55511 would not respond to the remote and the front control buttons (with the exception of Power) cycled through the Device Menu. I solved this problem by disconnecting the front panel. Here's how to do it:
0. Unplug the TV
1. Remove the speaker grill from the front by pulling forward: there are no screws.
2. Disconnect the two cables that are exposed after the grill is removed.
3. Plug the TV back in, wait for 5 minutes to reset.
4. Try using the remote.
Hope this helps!
Check fuses F9A04 and F9A05 (5A micro fuse)on the board in the middle. If one or both are open than you need to change both the convergence IC's (STK392-570)along with the fuses.
Solder, solder, solder! Shut down circuits protect crts to avoid permanent damage. If any of the deflection circuits are defective, or intermittent, shut down occurs. I have not only seen bad solder on deflection circuits, especially vertical, but also intermittent connections on the yokes themselves. I've also seen shorted convergence ics cause shut down. Don't forget solder connections in the power supply.
