Hello,
I have a HP 1502 monitor and it has a problem with the VGA cable.
The image appeares and disappeares when I move the jack or the cable. It seems that the wires inside the VGA jack are brocken.
Could you please send me the wire scheme inside the jack, so I could repaire it.
Thank you.

Standard VGA (with DDC VESA) pins are H-Sync = 13 and V-Sync = 14. R G B are 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Ground is 5, Red Shield 6, Green Shield 7, Blue Shield 8, 5V 9 (if there is a pin in the connector), Sync Return 10. 4, 11, 12 are ID Bits 2, 0 and 1 respectively, 15 ID Bit 3 (or clock pulse). If your connector does not have anything in 9 and 15, then it is not have DDC VESA.
If you don't use an identical monitors, then they may not work if your video card can not handle them. The "check video cable" it means the monitor does not get a signal, and it does not mean that the monitor is a problematic monitor. You can test this monitor as a single monitor (and try to connect it using first video port, and then move it to the second video port).
Hello, Usualy in these cases I check the VGA cable. If you can buy new one, but not cheap one will solve the problem. Just to be sure that this is your problem hold the small vga cable cylinders with your hands for 5-6 seconds. When you release them you shouldn't see the ghost image on your screen. It sounds weird but it works. By holding these cylinders you remove the static electricity of the cable. Try to understand what device around your monitor causes the problem. The cause also may be lot of power cables or power sources near the VGA cable.
Hi,Sir/ i have lcd monitor Hp-L1502 its on position wen i start lcd without vga cable to frount lokation is red+green+blue colours step by step fliker&i can fix new vga cable.whats sulution?
The HP Pavilion a450n video card does not support 2 monitors. You can hook up a monitor and a TV at the same with the current video card it has. If you wanted 2 monitors you can replace the AGP video card with a new one that has 2 monitor outputs. You will need to get an AGP video card with 2 monitor outputs (DVI or VGA), open up the case, remove the current video card and replace it.

I hope this helps.
nosignal means the PC its plugged into , is not sending
the 2 sync, signals, horiz./vertical.
so make sure the PC works, first, then the cable them the monitor.
this monitor is old as 2007. 1 decade old.
is the cable plugged in to the same jacks as it was.
the PC caN in fact have many jacks, DVI or VGA. even 3:
the monitor can have 2 jacks use the primary. yours has 2.
one DVI and 1 VGA.
self power on feature...hummm, the opposite of any energy saver scheme...
is the bottom right monitor button power damaged? look carefully.
to reset the monitor, unplug monitor from wall power AC
then hold the power button for 10 seconds.
release.
does it work now?
the odd self power on the power lamp shows? page23 your manual.
Green = Fully powered.
Amber = Sleep mode.
Flashing Amber = Sleep Timer mode.
ok page 26 in your manual shows there is an auto power on feature, I just read it for you. in your OSD menu.
"Power On Recall
Restores power to the monitor following an
unexpected removal of power. Select:
?
On
?
Off <**************************
The factory default is On."
NOT FRIED, at all I bet.
1: wrong cables used or plugged in wrong
2: PC died. in the move, sure can, test PC with another monitor
if fails PC is failed, if not , not.
3: wrong jacks used.
4: cable died.
It sounds as if you have "ghosting". Has your monitor been moved recently? Do you have any electrical cords running over or on the monitor cable? have you changed the video cable to see if it still does it? I have seen this issue be solved by using a good quality VGA cable, cheap ones usually ghost.
