Often the A channel power output blows. CEASE using the unit immediately until repaired as continued use can have additional damage to power supply.

Any problem with speakers can blow the channel as there is real weak insulation on a multi-layer circuit board in the rear most amp (channel A). It burns and takes out three transistors on the HCA2400 module inside.

ALSO read my tip on here regarding a hazard of Behringer PMP units due to the channel A connection when using Speakon to 1/4 inch plugs or adapters having the BARREL being the hot lead instead of the TIP of the 1/4 inch plug. Short that barrel to ANY ground and goodbye channel A.

We are trying to purchase a pmp mixer for our church choir. What's the difference between the pmp 3000 and the pmp 4000? Thanks!

The answer is "Not Much"... they upped the rating for power out and added 1000 to the model number... I don't know of any circuitry difference between them... it would probably be minor. Functionality is the same.

I want to know where i can get a new fuse for my pmp 5000b-212XL powered mixer ?? and waht kind of fuse is it ?

If the fuse has blown DO NOT replace it without repairing the cause of the failure. You will likely do more damage to internal components. Take the unit for repair before applying power again. I have repaired many of these and first a failure occurs in one of the power amps... usually the A channel, then people replace a fuse that protected the power supply and that blows the power supply taking out another $30 of components and $200 labor. (they are hard to change) If the unit is under warranty, exercise your warranty immediately. There is a weak spot in the channel A power amp.

ALSO please read my tip on here about a hazard in PMP series powered mixers. It is in regard to using Speakon to 1/4 inch speaker cables... NOTE that the BARREL of a 1/4 inch speaker cable or adapter from the Speakon is the HOT side for channel A and if you ground it inadvertenly, goodbye channel A power amp!!!

I have a behringer pmp 3000. In the middle of the show, one of our inputs started making a loud static sound. stopped and turned it off then on. Checked the cable and not that, it still looked like it...

Take this in for WARRANTY repair immediately !!!! This is NOT DIY.

Always power any interconnected equipment from the same receptacle or power distribution box.

Fuse and fuse holder needed for Behringer 3000 pmp mixer

Try this Behringer support:

BEHRINGER USA, Inc.
18912 North Creek Parkway, Suite 200
Bothell, WA 98011
Tel.: +1 425 672 0816
Fax: +1 425 673 7647

I just repaired a PMP3000.

A bit of warning on these. Do not let a speaker leads get pulled while powered. They can arc out the power amp causing extensive damage.

If the fuse ever blows do NOT replace the fuse as much more damage will result. Service the unit before using.

Where can I buy a fuse and fuse holder for my Behringer pmp 3000 power mixer - can anyone tell me pleas Lyn

DO NOT REPLACE A FUSE if it blows. You will do additional damage to the unit internally.

When these blow, there is damage inside that must be repaired before restoring power.

To get an exact replacement fuse holder it is best to get it from Behringer parts. This one has a switch in it depending on which way the fuse carrier is inserted.
