I had explained to the other GURU that it is the hand set that the key pads are not operating,,,i am not getting a dial tone nor are the number button pads making any tone. I exchanged all the batteries and they are fully charged. The other guy stated to hold the page button down and unplug the ac cord,,,then replug the unit and the keypads should operate,,,he said,,,it did not work. was i only allowed 1 non-working solution per 12 dollars or can you still help me ????

My battery is a Ni-Cd. I bought it new on eBay (TL26554 battery number). I allowed the new battery to charge for a long time and then tried to see if it would work. But no go....the handset gave me the same error message. Good Luck to you too! Mmmmmm

SOURCE: handset has No link to base

I was having the same problem with the same model phone, and fixed the problem by rebooting the phone – unplugging the AC and phone cord from the base station and plugging both back it, then removing and replacing the handset to regenerate the security code.

SOURCE: Handset ?No Link To Base? error and no dial tone

2/29 Have you registered or re-registered the handset?
"No link" can mean handset is not accepting radio wave of base unit. At Mfgr website pull-down operator's manual and look for registration instructions. Some sequence of buttons will create a radio signal from base (have handset off base) then another sequence of buttons on handset will accept radio signal. If handset has "menu" button, try "menu", then "00" (zero zero) then select an accept or "OK" button. Good luck.

SOURCE: No dial tone on handset

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask

My house phone hand set is on hold what should I do

Many modern phone systems are able to place 1 call on hold so you can answer another incoming call. Try pressing the off button twice and if that doesn't work disconnect the power to the phone system base unit for a minute or two which should reset the system.

Digital cordless phone Model# KX-TG6413 lightning struck close the house, heard a loud click in the base unit, phones no longer work, can base unit and power cord be replaced, and would this fix the...

If you are lucky, it may just be a blown fuse. You can try disassembing the base unit and checking for an open fuse inside on the circuit board. Please remember to disconnect the power supply and the phone line before disassembly.

Otherwise the circuits in the base unit were probably fried in the resulting power surge and are likely beyond economical repair.

However, the old handset(s) are probably still good. So if you do get a new replacement base unit of the same model, then you can probably salvage the old handsets and just program them for use with the new base.

I hope that was helpful, good luck and take care.

Joe.

One of my cordless phones says not registered. How do I fix that? Also, another phone says check battery. Where can I get another battery? Warranty?

Put the non-registered handset in the master base unit. Unplug the base unit for about 10 seconds and plug it back in. Wait for a message to change on the handset and press and hold the handset locator button for 4 seconds. This will re-register the handset. Do not remove the handset from the base while performing the above steps. Good Luck!

My handset has a blinking icon, indicating not close to base

I found the 800 number to call, spoke to customer service, they gave me the suggestion of unplugging the base from the outlet, removing the batteries from the handset, wait 5 minutes and plug in and put in the batteries. Yes, that fixed it. And then the customer service technician called back later to see if it had worked. I thought that was above and beyond the call of duty. Certainly a good way to win customers!

BEll South 1188

On the 2006c there is a small sticker on the back of the unit with the three-digit code. Also there is a button on the front of the unit which says "code". Press it and the code should appear on the display. It's very unlikely that the code would be printed in the manual, so it would have to be somewhere on the unit.
