Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F3 error in your unit means shorted key panel (touch pad assembly) and is displayed when a shorted key panel is detected continuously over 60 seconds. Try to blow some air on the touch pad assembly, if this won't work then replacing the keypad is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Frigidaire microwave f3 error

The keypad will likely need to be replaced, F3 indicates a stuck key. If you unplug it and plug it back in, does the F3 come back on by itself, if yes, then first, try unplugging it for a few minutes and see if it reappears.

If it does, the touch pad will need to be replaced. I can get you parts info after we see what power cycling it does.

Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

The F3 code keeps coming on with a beeping sound on my G.E. sensor microwave oven model number JES1456WFC001 1100 watts.

F3 means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

If it's under warranty, you should be able to get it fixed free.

The "C" in the model number means it's made for the Canadian market, and contacting GE Canada seems to be impossible for us here in the States.

So you'll need to contact GE via the info in your owner's manual.

If it's out of warranty, it's best to replace it, GE does not make parts available for JES-series microwaves.

One assumes they're meant to be thrown away when they fail out warranty.

Please don't kill the messenger... :)

My GE Profile spacemaker microwave oven keep on doing by itself "locked" and "--F3--" and beeps. We go to hold stop for 5 seconds to unlock and set the clock then it seems ok for 3 minutes and locks again....

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and please do not leave it running unattended.

Ikea micro wave whirlpool

F3 usually means a keypad or temperature sensor / thermistor problem.

The fact that you can't use the microwave leads me to believe it's a keypad or control circuit board problem.

If you have the owner's manual that came with the unit, I would suggest you look there for a contact numer to call for service.

Otherwise I would suggest calling the store from which you purchased it.

Please write back with more details if you need further help.
