Hello,

The t-con board of your television is bad, that is why your television is having sound but no picture.
The t-con board is by the upper middle of the main panel of the television, Have it replaced and your television will be in good condition once again.

Hope this was helpful to you.
Take care and good luck.

  • Anonymous Jan 02, 2011

    Thanks

  • Anonymous Jan 02, 2011

Yes it is an easy fix and it will cost you less. But if you feel more comfortable getting a new television, then you can get one. But i will advice you get the t-con board fixed instead.

Philips model 52pfl5704d/f7 no picture and no sound

Once quoted to me...

60% of all appliance repairs...
First check the power at the wall outlet...!!

From there it gets a bit more exotic...
A very POPULAR part: your POWER BOARD...!!

They abound on the internet
(surpassing even SAMSUNG
(in my opinion... no mean task)).

Don't even think about it if you cannot

>> wear an anti-static wrist band (most important: $6)
> put every wire and fastener EXACTLY back as it was!!
> verify the board numbers yourself
>> FORCE NOTHING.

Take lot of pictures & notes.

comment me back... I have written better
(but am in a rush for my wife's appointment)

Amazon com anti static wristband

After trying to plug in headphones (in the headphone socket) I have lost all sound on my Toshiba satallite 2040 (Idid have sounds from built in speakers before hand) can you help

Hi

You have not mentioned which operating system you are using.

You might have changed the defaul audio settings.

Vista/Windows 7: Start > Cxontrol Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices > Hardware & Sound > Manage Audio Devices > highlight the external speakers from the list of devices > Set Default > Apply > OK > Restart computer.

Win XP: Start > Cxontrol Panel > Sounds Speech & Audio Devices > Hardware & Sound > Change the Speaker Settings > Advanced > Speaker Setup - select Internal Stereo Speakers > Apply > OK > Restart computer.

I hope this helps.

What does AA on the display screen mean? THis is on my display scrren, also when i get a call, an automated voice sounds saying"call from____"

I have an SCH-U450 and had the same annoying AA on my nice wallpaper picture.

Although it doesn't appear in the icon library, apparently, it's for Auto Answer. As soon as I turned that off, it went away.

In my phone to to, Menu > Settings & Tools > Call Settings > Answer Options, and make sure Auto w/ Handsfree checkbox is UNchecked (unless, of course, you want it on, in which case, I guess you're stuck with the AA in the middle of your nice wallpaper picture).

As for the audio announcement, mine was set when I got it to yell out the name of the contact for messages and calls. Try Menu > Settings & Tools > Sound Settings > Call Sounds > Call Alert, then choose Ring Only, or others as appropriate.

Sound is now unavailable

Please try to check your audio by right click (mouse) My Computer icon (on the desktop screen) > click Properties > select Hardware tab above > click Device Manager tab > click +Sound, Video & Game Controllers > double click your selected Audio Controller device- wherein you can see if the device status is working properly as well as if the Device Usage is Enabled, if not click Troubleshoot tab.

Or you can also check your Sound / Control device thru Start > Contol Panel > Sounds, Speech & Audio Devices > Sound & Audio Devices - wherein you can adjust the volume & test your sound.

Or you will have to reinstall the sound driver. best regards
