Hi Jason

To get the connection back all you need to do is just connect the modem to the router to the yello port & computer to any gray port on the router.
& unplugg the power from the router first & then from the cable modem. Wait 30sec & plug the power to the cable modem first & then once the modem is on completly plug the power to the belkin router.
The light will turn green & start working.

This is an intermittent connection.
To avoid this happening over & over kindly update the firmware in the router.
you can login to the belkin.com/support web site to download & know the procedures to update the firmware in the router.

Thanks

Trouble connecting netgear wireless router to rca modem DCM425

First try connection the Yellow ethernet cable from the rca modem to your computer's network connection. If you get a connection this way, then your modem will work with a ethernet cable. If not, then call Comcast for help. The modem ethernet out to computer port must be connected to the wan line of the router. Then you can connect an ethernet cable from your computer network connection to one of the 4 ports of the router. For wireless connections you must set up the router and wireless adaptor with the same settings to connect. Follow the routers directions.

Belkin N router reads everything but the computer.

If your router was working before, and suddenly stopped working, then you probably need to reset it.
Unplug the router from power, also unplug all network cables from it.
Wait about 30 seconds.
Plug power back in, followed by network cables.
Wait some more seconds while the router restarts.
Only the Power light and the Status light should be solid.
All others in use must be blinking, which means they are in use.

Try connecting to the internet with cable first, then try wireless.

It should work.

Blinking orange light

if you got an orange light to the router, It means that there's no Internet connection or not working from the router. I might advice you to check the Internet connection from your ISP, then check the configuration of your router or you might needing to reconfigure the router.

Cable internet setup

No, you need to buy a wireless router and connect wireless router to cable modem. Non cable modems do not work on cabled wireless network.
If you buy cable router, buy either a router with no modem integrated or a modem/router for cable network, this last one may be best option, but it needs to be configured. Ask to retailer which models are ok with your broadband provider.

MY WIRELESS LINSKYS HOOKED UP NOT FINDING MODEM/CANNOT CONNECT

You don't use a modem to connect with a wireless router. Connect an ethernet cable between the laptop and the router to ensure that both are working. If this gives you an internet connection then the commonest problem is an incorrect wireless key. Reset the key on the router then cut and paste it into the wireless network setup in the Control Panel. Wireless drivers are frequently updated and you should check for a newer driver.
