Hitachi projection tv

Did u check the pico fuse and all those resistors on the tv convergence board to make sure with ones are good resistors which are not good resistors and replace all them resistors too?U didn't do that should get it tested and replaces all those dying resitors.Try website like Tvrepairworld.com look up ur Hitachi tv model what resistors and pico fuse u require to check.

Did set have this problem before you replaced the STKS?

I know these sets very well. If problem is different in any way from before you replaced chips.......double check all soldering or one of the new chips may be defective.

Ur tv convergence are dead.U know how to do soldering?U must replaced 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors.Tries websites Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self.The shop will cost u $300-350 for the parts and labors.

Your tv may have a small button hidden on the board. You will need to look behind the speaker panel at the circuit board. Its a small blue button located on the convergence board.

The tv must be old, get new 1

it sounds like your blue convergence ic is getting weak you need to replace the ic's STK392-110 and you should replace both because when 1 is bad the other will go real soon. They are inexspensive at the sight I posted and you will also get free tech online support if you purchase them there.

Solution:

Your TV has a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.

• Screen looks 3D
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed in or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence or magic focus section.

Try to adjust the convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Its a fairly easy fix on the Hitachi sets.

You can get a repair kit that includes all the parts from www.TvRepairKits.com. The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc.
